The defining component of Linux is the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released 5 October 1991 by Linus Torvalds. The Linux market is growing rapidly, and the revenue of servers, desktops, and packaged software running Linux was expected to exceed $35.7 billion by 2008.

Join us at Open Labs and learn more about Linux and its uses in our 2 session Linux training!  The course includes:

> VI editor
> Important Commands
> Standard I/O and Filter Commands
> Users and Privileges
> Files and the File System
> Process Management
> Installing Linux

In the first session this Saturday (11 May) we will teach you the basics of the Linux OS.
